Catalog Course Description This course covers principles of managerial practice. The concepts center on an analysis of the four major functions of management: planning, organizing, leading and controlling. This course examines the integration of management principles with other business procedures. Topics include business ownership, organizational structure, human relations, marketing and finance. Course Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Understand and explain the four functions of management. 2. Analyze the historical development of management. 3. Identify the environments affecting management. 4. Identify behavioral processes relevant to the management process.
