Course Description
Basics of the MasterCam program including three MasterCam projects: mill, lathe, and solids. Part creation, toolpath construction and verification of g-code, drilling, tapping, contouring, pocketing, circle milling, and slot milling. Total of 36 hours lecture and 72 hours laboratory. Grade Mode: L, A CRN 11731: Before the class begins, a Welcome Letter with detailed course information will be sent to students using the e-mail account provided to the college. Students MUST log in to the course at http://canvas.pasadena.edu to complete an introductory assignment by 11:59 pm Wednesday, January 07, or they will be dropped from the class. For online course Technology Requirements see https://pasadena.edu/academics/pcc-online/. CRN 11731: This section requires Students to download Mastercam 2024 Home Learning Edition (HLE). Students must have access to an Intel® or AMD 64-bit processor, 2.4 GHz or faster. This is a free version of Mastercam that can be used to learn the software for up to one year after activation. The download provides access to the CAM functionality for Mastercam applications, including mill and lathe.
