Course Description
An introductory survey course in Astronomy intended for non-science/science majors. Topics include history of astronomy, the solar system, light and spectra, the formation and evolution of stars, galaxies, and the universe. Properties, interrelationships, and the scientific process are emphasized throughout the course.
Prerequisites
- ASTR 1001 requires a C- or higher in MATH 0989 or 0900 OR eligibility for MATH 1010 or higher.
