Course Description

General Education requirement: 3B - Visual & Performing Arts Presents a basic music vocabulary and develops intelligent discrimination in the listener through study and analysis of outstanding works from Gregorian Chant to the present, including music of diverse cultures. Emphasis is also placed on the relationship of the historical development of music to parallel movements in art, drama, philosophical thought, etc.
