Course Description

Grammar for College and Professional Writing offers focused instruction in English grammar as it applies to writing situations. Students learn to identify parts of speech and sentence structure; avoid common errors by correctly applying grammar rules; identify commonly confused words and idiomatic expressions; and edit for conciseness and accuracy. Emphasis is placed on building knowledge and skills in the context of actual writing tasks. Graded on a Pass/Fail basls.
