Course Description

Focus on the principles and methods of planning, presenting and evaluating STEM experiences for young children ages two to five. Activities that foster children's natural curiosity about mathematical and engineering concepts. These activities will be designed to encourage exploration, experimentation, problem solving and discovery. Methods for adapting math and engineering experiences for young children with special needs will also be discussed. Total of 54 hours lecture. • CHDV 010 and either PSYC 021 or PSYC 021H.
